Wayne Broadbent honoured in Queens Birthday Awards

June 12th, 2017

Wayne Broadbent has been honoured with a Medal of the Order of Australia for service to football in Northern NSW.

Wayne a long serving member, committee member and life member of Swansea Football Club (over 43 years) has previously been awarded the Macquarie Football’s “Bill Douglas Award” for services to football within Lake Macquarie, Macquarie Football’s “Volunteer of the Year” and also Northern NSW Football’s “Volunteer of the Year”.

Sadly Wayne passed away last year after battling a short illness.

Although Wayne is no longer with us we would like to congratulate his family on the recognition that he so richly deserves!
