Numbers in training to increase from 10 – 20 from Saturday.

June 11th, 2020

To the relief to many coaches ears, the NSW Government has announced a further easing of restrictions from Saturday 13 June with the number of people allowed to gather outdoors increased from 10 to 20.

This means teams (who have approval for use of grounds from Clubs and Councils) can expand to groups of 20 for outdoor, non-contact training activities, however will still  need to maintain physical distancing.

Northern NSW Football CEO David Eland said this a fantastic step in the right direction for a return to football in July.

“Thankfully, we are in a position for things to return closer to normality. Week-by-week, restrictions are easing and relieving pressure on the sport and our dedicated volunteers,” said Eland.

“These changes come into effect on Saturday 13 June. Clubs, teams and individuals must continue to comply with the current State Government Public Health Order in the meantime and remain diligent about the safety of themselves and others by continuing to social distance (1.5m) and encourage good hygiene,” he confirmed.
