NNSWF appoint PlayFootball Support Coordinator

January 13th, 2021

Northern NSW Football is thrilled to welcome Jay Phouisangiem as PlayFootball Support Coordinator.

Jay joins NNSWF from Football Australia where he worked in the national PlayFootball team. He will provide training and support to Clubs and Member Zones surrounding the registration system.

NNSWF Head of Football Development Peter Haynes said he was delighted to welcome Jay on board.

“Jay brings with him extensive experience in PlayFootball which will be invaluable for us,” Haynes said.

“His role will be to specifically help Clubs and Member Zones maximise PlayFootball’s capabilities to ensure a positive registration experience for participants and assist volunteers to run their clubs more efficiently and effectively.”

His time with the governing body gave Jay a wealth of experience in PlayFootball which he hopes to use to help club volunteers get the most out of the platform.

“I look forward to being able to work with people in the community more closely and get to know them,” Jay said.

“I’ll initially touch base with Member Zones to see where they see some of the gaps they need help with. From there, we can deliver consistent service and help them filter information down to their clubs and ensure everyone is on the same page and understand the system.

“In terms of training, we’ll be listening to club registrars, particularly new registrars that come on board, to try and make their experience as seamless as possible so 2021 can be as stress free as possible.”

Jay said it was important for club volunteers to have appropriate support to help give them the best possible experience.

“We are acutely aware volunteers are working in their own spare time so it’s about minimising their workload as much as I can,” Jay said.

“This is crucial to giving them a great experience and, hopefully, for them to continue to support clubs and to bring a great experience to their kids and local players.

“That’s pretty much my aim for the role, to make our volunteers’ experience as enjoyable as possible and as less stressful and time consuming as possible.”

Jay will have a Service Desk Platform to ensure he is able to track enquiries and get back to clubs in a timely manner.

Member Zones and Clubs are encouraged to contact Jay for assistance HERE, with the link also available at northernnswfootball.com.au in the Club Headquarters section.

As part of the Newcastle Permanent Volunteer Training series, NNSWF will deliver an online PlayFootball Training Workshop for new or inexperienced registrars. These sessions will include a Q&A component for all club registrars.
