Northern NSW Football Club Development Officer Phillip Andrews has attended an Edgeworth Junior Soccer Club committee meeting to recognise their accomplishment in achieving a 4-star rating in the National Club Development Program.
“Edgeworth JSC is a significant club in the Macquarie Football Member Zone,” Andrews said.
“As the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic took hold of the community earlier this year, Edgeworth JSC busily set about creating opportunities for players from other clubs to safely play football for the 2020 season.
“Edgeworth JSC grew their football community throughout the season to ensure all participants had access to a positive experience.
“Over the last few seasons Edgeworth JSC has been able to attract funding to improve lighting and the quality of the playing surface as a way of enhancing the experience of their participants. Working through the NCDP has provided Edgeworth JSC with the resources to consolidate their governance while establishing goals to continue driving the club forward.
“Through the NCDP Edgeworth JSC now has an action plan that will continue to provide the building blocks for further improvement.”
The FFA National Club Development Program was launched nationally in September 2019 and is available to all NNSWF clubs.
Nineteen NNSWF clubs have completed the program with a number of others in the process of completing actions.
