Edgeworth Junior SC tops the points table with Telstra

December 14th, 2016

Northern NSW Football along with Telstra would like to congratulate Edgeworth Junior Soccer Club (SFC) for racking up a total of $1, 350.00 to spend with First Touch Football Supplies as part of the Telstra Rewards Program!

During 2016, a local Telstra Licensee group consisting of Telstra Stores Kotara, Glendale, East Maitland, Lake Haven, Taree and Forster, has been rewarding members from a nominated local football club with 50 points when they switch to the National Broadband Network (NBN) on a Telstra bundle at one of the licencee’s stores.

Clubs were able to accumulate the points, with 50 points valued at $50.00 that you can spend at Northern NSW Football’s merchandise shop, First Touch Football Supplies.

Telstra Licensee, David Sampaklis, applauds Edgeworth SFC for their support of Telstra’s rewards program as well as hopes that the funds they have accumulated will go to great use for their club.

“Growing up in the Newcastle region and having been a part of the local football community for many years it gives me great pleasure to be in a position to support the local football community through our initiative,” Sampakis said.

“It is my pleasure to announce that we will be running our rewards program again in 2017.”

Edgeworth SFC Treasurer, Sue Tredinnick, was very grateful when receiving the cheque and said the money will go to improving the junior clubs stocks of equipment to give their players the best of the best.

“Edgeworth Junior Soccer Club are very grateful to the local community for nominating us and the funds received will go towards much needed training gear for our 2017 season,” Sue said.

Telstra rewarded the club with tickets to attend the Newcastle Jets first double-header match in appreciation of their support for the Telstra’s rewards program.

“The opportunity to reward committee members, volunteers and families with tickets to see both the Westfield W-League and Hyundai A league games means a lot.”

“As the committee and regular volunteers are the unsung heroes of each club without them, the club just wouldn’t operate. We would like to thank both Telstra and Northern New South Wales Football for their support,” Sue concluded.

The second club in the running for the most points accumulated was Medowie Soccer Club, earning up to $600.00 worth of First Touch Football Supplies.

Clubs that participated will receive their vouchers this month in the mail!
