Northern NSW Football is proud to recognise that West Wallsend Senior Football Club has recently gained Level 1 accreditation in the Football Federation Australia (FFA) National Club Accreditation Scheme (NCAS).
NNSWF Senior Officer for Premier Competitions Liam Bentley recently visited West Wallsend SFC to present them with their certificate for gaining level 1 accreditation with the National Club Accreditation Scheme.
Accreditation through the NCAS is a signal to sponsors, grant providers, club members and the community that West Wallsend SFC has developed the quality of governance essential to consolidating their position as a premier club in Northern NSW Football competitions.
“West Wallsend SFC has come a long way in the last couple of seasons, both on the field with the expanding NEWFM Northern League One youth competition and off the field with improved club governance,” said Megan Crowhurst, West Wallsend SFC secretary.
“As a committee we recognise the importance of gaining FFA accreditation to ensure we can look forward to providing the best possible club for our players, members and supporters by enhancing our governance to pursue support through sponsorship and grant schemes.
“The West Wallsend SFC committee has a plan to achieve the next level of NCAS accreditation before the commencement of the National Premier Leagues (NPL) Northern NSW licensing application period and look forward to working with Northern NSW Football to further grow and develop our club.”
Phillip Andrews, NNSWF Club Development Officer, was pleased for the club for their achievement.
“West Wallsend SFC is a successful club that is rapidly evolving,” Andrews said.
“Sponsors, members and volunteers can feel confident in the direction being taken by the hardworking committee.
“It is great to experience a committee that is working hard to meet the present needs of the club while looking ambitiously into the future. We look forward to working with the club as they work towards achieving goals to further enhance the experience for their members.”
